2586600 - Error: "Inventory in logistics area not available"

The Error below occurred while confirming the Warehouse Pick Task even though Source Logistics Area is flagged as Negative Stock Allowed.

Error: "Inventory in logistics area not available"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to Task Control view.
3. Search for the Task ABC (ABC represents for the Warehouse Task ID).
4. Choose Confirm.
5. Enter Actual quantity and Source Logistics Area XYZ (XYZ represents the Source Logistics Area ID).
6. Choose Save.
7. The Error occurred: "Inventory in logistics area not available"

• The Allocation Type and Allocation Scope settings are maintained for Logistics Area XYZ while the Negative Stock indicator is enabled.
• This combination of settings is not supported.

Follow the below steps to remove the Allocation Type and Allocation Scope settings,

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.
2. Go to Location View.
3. Search for the relevant Site.
4. Choose Edit Layout.
5. Select Logistics Area XYZ.
6. Remove the values maintained in the Allocation Type and Allocation Scope.
7. Choose Save.
