  • SAP Technical Supports focus on fixing errors or problems with standard SAP software. It does not include advice on system setup, configuration, or general "how-to" questions. For these:

Case Creation:

1. Basic Information

Make sure to choose the right System, Product and Product Function for your case.

  • System: search with "Datasphere" and pick the correct tenant as per system name.

  • Product: choose "SAP Datasphere". (In case of BW Bridge, choose "SAP Datasphere, SAP BW Bridge").
  • Product Function: refer 👉 product function (at the end of this KBA) to choose the suitable one.
  • Business Impact: Refer to KBA 2971361 - Very High priority cases in SAP Datasphere.

2. Detailed Information

Please answer all the questions that popped up. This is very important to collect enough information for analysis.

  • Answer all the questions that popped up:
    • Support User: Enable Support User Creation. See KBA 2891554.
    • Issued objects or screen: Past the direct URL if possible!
  • Detailed Description:
    • Describe in detail what the behavior of the System is. Describe in a few sentences what is happening. What did you expect and what happened instead? Please be as detailed as possible.
      • Example: I log into Datasphere xxxx.eu10, try to create a new Replication Flow in space xxx, select xxxx connection, select ODP_SAPI container, select 0FI_GL_14, there is an error "abc" pop up.
  • Steps to Reproduce:
    • Select the checkbox if you allow SAP to reproduce the symptom in your non-production tenant. This will help to expediate the case processing.
    • Provide step-by-step description including navigation and expected results / actual result, flows, which actions taken to reproduce the error, problem, issue, or behavior.
  • Date or Date Range when the issue occurred:
    • For one time or intermittent issues specify the most recent start and end dates.
    • For presently occurring issues, only specify the start date/time. Accurate timing can expedite the issue resolution.

3. Attachment

  • Quick video or "Step by step" document describing the issue.
  • Note: If possible, it's better to add specific text, keywords, and error messages into the case text as opposed to attaching the information into a file. This helps our machine learning algorithms. See AI and Machine Learning Drive Automation in Product Support.

  • Time zone: If you would like to speak to an engineer who works in the same time zone. Make sure your S-User information is up to date.
