3455390 - ISO20022 pain.001.001.09 XML-based Message Format Is Missing for Netherlands

Symptom

For the Netherlands currently there is no ISO20022 pain.001.001.09 payment format available for SEPA Payments.

As a result, payment files generated in SAP Business ByDesign are not accepted by Dutch banks.

Resolution

SAP Business ByDesign product management is working to update the latest version for the ISO20022 (which means, version V9 or "pain.001.001.09").

In the meantime, the electronic file generation should be done using the XSL transformation framework in SAP Business ByDesign (also called XSLT Payment Flexibility Tool).

With this feature there's no dependency on SAP updates.

A complete step by step document is available here: Generation of Custom Payment File Using XSL Transformation Repository

A guide on how to deploy an XSLT transformation is attached to this KBA (refer to "XSLT_PAYMENT_FLEXIBILITY.docx").

XSLT templates differ for relevant house-banks (for example: ABN AMRO). Please log a referenced support case in order to avail of a bespoke house-bank specific XSLT template.
