1181270 - Error: destination DLL disabled. Failure Scheduling to SMTP Mail

• You are scheduling a report to destination SMTP.  It does not matter if the report is a Crystal, Deski or Webi report. 
• Though you have configured a job server for this report type, when scheduling to SMTP, the report fails some times while other times it succeeds. 
• When you choose the "Failed" link, you see information specific to the failure including the server that managed the processing of the failed schedule event and the error message: 

Error Message: destination DLL disabled. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp:

• Other times, you may see the error indicating SMTP has been enabled but misconfigured:

Error Message: server error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: SMTP_E_TCPSOCKET_OPEN(2)

• Other times, you find that this schedule event succeeds.  Why is this?
