1181823 - POS() function and accented characters return incorrect results in InfoView running on SUSE Linux 9

Symptom

In BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 running on SUSE Linux 9, a Desktop Intelligence report has a cell with a formula containing an accented character. The formula is similar to the following:

=Pos("Catégorie Y","Y")

Running the formula returns a unique value. However, when the report is exported to the repository and opened in InfoView, the result is the initial value plus one. For example, if the first result when the formula ran was 11, it is now 12 in InfoView.
