1182409 - Error message "Logon failed" after creating a connection to a universe from Crystal Reports

When creating a connection to a universe in Crystal Reports and clicking OK in the Business Objects Query Panel, the following error message appears:

Crystal Reports: "Logon failed".

However the SQL query is generated correctly.

The authentication mode is preventing the access to the connection.

In Business Objects Designer > Tools > Connections > select the connection on which the universe is based > Edit and make sure "Use single Sign On when refreshing reports at view time" is not checked.

If you change this setting, make sure you re-export the universe to the system repository.
