1183576 - Error: "#INCOMPITABLE" when trying to create a variable or formula in Web Intelligence

Symptom

To reproduce the symptoms, create a report using two queries such that in QUERY1 there is YEAR and STATE. In QUERY 2 there is STATE and STORE NAME. When trying to create a variable, which tries to add STORE NAME from QUERY 1 and QUERY 2, the following error message appears:

"#INCOMPITABLE".

Therefore it is not possible to directly add OR combine objects from two different queries.

Even if you try to add (Query1). [Store name] with STATE, it will throw the same error message because STATE object belongs to QUERY 2.
However, when adding it with YEAR object the formula will be correct as both the objects are from QUERY 1.
