1183697 - Error: "failing to read data from report file...ReportAdd program to add report to the system" when publishing a Crystal report to BusinessObjest Enterprise XI

Symptom

When publsihing a Crystal Reports XI report to Business Objects Enterprise through the Publishing Wizard, Central Management Console or InfoView, the following error message appears:

"failing to read data from report file... Reason: Unable to launch $(INSTALLDIR)\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\win32_x86\plugins\desktop\CrystalEnterprise.Report\ReportAdd program to add report to the system".

Resolution

This known issue has been assigned ADAPT00692724, and affects the following:

  • Crystal Reports XI

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below.

Unless indicated otherwise, Critical Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.


CAUTION
