Symptom

In Crystal Reports, you create a report with a Dynamic Cascading Prompt off a List Of Value created in Business View Manager.

This LOV refers to a field with more than 86.000 records.

When refreshing the report, the following error message is thrown:

"List of Values failure: fail to get values.. reportSDKException(-214748991) prompt.dll 0x8004380D A processing limit has been reached"

Cause

The Dynamic Cascading Prompts contains too many records.

Resolution

The maximum number of records for a Dynamic Cascading Prompt is 86.000 records.
