Symptom

  • When establishing Kerberos authentication, the error messages generated by InfoView, ePortfolio or the Central Management Console (CMC) interfaces are not sufficient in debugging the true root cause of Kerberos authentication failures. Messages such as "Null.Pointer.Exception" or "Internal error." may appear. In trace log files, you may see references to authentication being successful, but in lower lines some generic messages can be seen to indicate a failure. These can be vague in nature.
