1188394 - Retrieving 'Bit' data type from a SQL Server database via OLE DB connection

Symptom

  • SQL Server DB that contains a "bit" type field.
  • This field has "true and "false" values.
  • Viewing the values of that object in a universe table using an OLEDB connection, get "0" for the value " false" and "255" for the value "true".
  • Via SQL Analyser get "1" for the value "true".
