1196548 - Error "Cannot open the file due to an unknown error (FRM0007)" when opening a local copy of a universe

Symptom

You attempt to open a renamed linked universe saved on your Desktop, after following this specific workflow:
  1. Create universeA.
  2. Export it under \\repository.
  3. Create universeB.
  4. Export it under \\repository\folderB.
  5. Create a link to universeB within universeA.
  6. Save as universeA_B (for example) and export it again under \\repository.
  7. Import universeA_B, select Save As and save it on the Desktop.
  8. When double-click universeA_B on the desktop, you get the error message: "Cannot open the file due to an unknown error (FRM0007)"
