Symptom
To use the BusinessObjects Portal Integration Kit (PIK), the WebSphere Portal Server must have the Java Specification Request (JSR)168 API enabled.
NOTE: JSR stands for Java Specification Request. Business Objects is using the JSR 168 for the first release. JSR 168 is an industry standard for creating portlets. The JSR 168 establishes a standard API for creating portlets, as well as facilitates the integration component between applications and portals. This enables delivery of an application through a portal.
