1196913 - Returned data may not be within expected ranges if you enter invalid values for OLAP range parameters

Symptom

Returned data may not be within expected ranges if you enter invalid values for OLAP range parameters. If the start value is greater than the end value, it should work with no error message. If the start value is less than the end value, it should show an error message but it returns unexpected values. Refresh an OLAP report with range parameter based on page dimension and the following happens depending on your parameters:
  • If you choose 18-02 for values, it will display 18,19,02 (correct - it compares value1 and value2 to consider it a correct range value).
  • If you choose 03-10 for values, it will show an error message (correct).
  • If you choose 02-03, it will display 02,03,20,21,22...(incorrect - it should display an error message).

Cause

The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00798797.

Resolution
