Symptom
A database log on window prompts when previewing a Crystal report with dynamic parameter in InfoView even if the Database connection information is set correctly before in the Central Management Console (CMC).
This problem occurs when a stored procedure with an input
parameter is the report's data source.
Resolution
Use a List of Values (LOV) object created by Business View Manager instead of a value field as the dynamic parameter.
1. Create an LOV object in Business View Manager.
2. In Crystal Reports, change the LOV of the parameter generated by the stored procedure from static to dynamic and choose an existing LOV object as the datasource for the list of values.
3. Publish this report to the CMC, set the Database connection and do not prompt the user for the database log on when viewing the report by selecting the Prompt the user for new values when viewing option.
4. Preview the report.
The database long on window does not prompt.
