1198064 - Formatting numeric parameter values from a dynamic prompt in Crystal Reports XI

Symptom

Is it possible to format values in a dynamic report prompt to remove the thousands separator and decimal point in Crystal Reports XI? For example, the number 5682 is showing as 5,682.00 in the prompt.

Resolution

Crystal Reports XI does not allow you to format the prompt itself. However, it is possible to format the appearance of the value of the number once it is selected from the list of value. 
 
To do so perform the following steps:
  1. Right-click on the parameter.
  2. Click Format Field.
  3. Click the Number tab.
  4. Select the desired formatting.
