1198127 - Error: "assert failure:" and audit entries are not written to the database in a German Windows 2003 Server environment

Symptom

With auditing activated, the auditing information is first written into files on the server and then this information is replicated into the audit database.

In a German Windows 2003 Server environment, in Business Objects XI Service Pack (SP) 1 German MLB build, writing to the Audit database (ODBC SQL Server 2000) is not happening, instead the following error message appears in the CMA log:

"assert failure: (.\ODBCAuditDBSS_impl.cpp:390). (0 : [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Bei der Konvertierung eines char-Datentyps in einen datetime-Datentyp liegt der datetime-Wert außerhalb des gültigen Bereichs.)"
