1198369 - Error: "File Repository Server error : Failed to put the file to file server : frs://Input/xxxx/000/000/0000/univname.unw already exists" when exporting a universe using Designer

Symptom

You are trying to export changes made to a universe using Designer when the following error message appears:
"A universe with name 'univname' already exists in folder'/universefolder'. If you continue the existing universe will be overwritten. Do you want to Continue?"
You accept to overwrite the universe, but then another error message appears:
"File Repository Server error : Failed to put the file to file server : frs://Input/xxxx/000/000/0000/univname.unw already exists"
Your troubleshooting efforts reveal the following points:
  • You have verified that the universe exists in both InfoStore and FileStore.
  • You have Full Control over the Input folder in FileStore.
  • In CMC, you find that the universe does NOT have a link to the physical file in FileName property.
