1198408 - Parameter values appear incorrectly when refreshed in reports with a large number of values

Symptom

In Crystal Reports XI and Crystal Reports XI R2, when refreshing a report with a dynamic parameter and the number of values being displayed is very high, some values are displayed incorrectly. There are two different symptoms.

The first symptom shows the text values correctly until there is a total of over 13,000 values displayed. This can vary depending on the size of the values being displayed. Then, instead of continuing to show correct values, numbers are displayed, incrementing by one with each new parameter value. It is an invalid LOV.

The second symptom shows a numeric value parameter where the values are displayed properly for over 13,000 values. This can vary depending on the length of the values. The numeric values will then display incorrectly and may duplicate a series of values many times.
