1198527 - "WCA Startup failure" when connecting to CMC or web application doesn't start, when using Websphere 64 bit

Symptom

On UNIX, you may encounter the following error messages:

  • When starting Websphere 6.0 or 6.1 64 bit, the following error message appears:
    "libWs60ProcessManagement.so: open shared object file: No such file or directory"

    -OR-
  • When connecting to the Central Management Console (CMC) the following error message appears:
    "WCA startup failure. Message:WCA startup failed with the following message: webcomponentjni ( libwebcomponentjni.so: A file or directory in the path name does not exist)".
