Symptom
In the Java Reporting Component (JRC), when you change the database and server location on a command table report based off of Oracle or SQL Server, the database query is run multiple times. This causes performance issues when viewing reports.
Cause
The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00568570
It affects the following:
- BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2
- BusinessObjects Enterprise XI
- Crystal Reports XI.
Resolution
Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), the problem is fixed.
Known limitations: setlocation() will be passed a flag telling setlocation() not to check the fields of the command, i.e. make setlocation assume that the fields have not changed. This would mean possiblity of runtime errors if the assumption was incorrect.
Unless indicated otherwise, Critical Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
