Symptom
While uninstalling or installing BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 or any of its file updates, the installer fails or the Windows operating system is restarted before the installer is completely finished.
When attempting to install the application again, the following error message appears:
"Error 1705, A previous install for this product is in progress....".
The installer then fails.
