1201060 - Using to_char function on date field always returns a lower case output

Symptom

Using the to_char function on a date field always returns a lower case result in an Oracle database.

For example, the syntax is:

to_char(DATE_VALUE, FORMAT)

The FORMAT argument is like 'Mon', 'mon' or 'MON'. The above syntax should be pushed down to Oracle and the expected output is like the Oracle to_char function. However, the output is always lower case.
