Symptom
Garbage characters in viewer (any viewer) and when printed to
printer.

Resolution
When the application is distributed to a client site, in this
case using a Kyocera Mita KM-4230 KX printer, the view of the
report displays garbage characters on the screen. This
garbage is also printed. If the printer driver is changed to HP
IIIsi, everything works fine.
This particular printer driver had a setting in the preferences to turn off the device fonts that are turned on by default. Once this was removed, the report viewed and printed correctly.
