Symptom
Live Office retrieves the correct number of rows if the number of rows is less than 500 in a Crystal Report. If the report has more than 1000 rows, Live Office only retrieves 101 rows.
Cause
A setting needs to be changed in RAS (Report Application Server). RAS handles Crystal Report object connectivity and has some limiters built in to restrict the number of records returned in specific batches. By default, this number is set to 100.
Resolution
1. Log in to the Central Configuration Manager (CCM).
2. Stop the RAS service.
3. Right-click Report Application Server, click Properties then click the Parameters tab.
4. Under Batch size, change the Number of records per batch: to a higher number, but less than the current row limit of Microsoft Excel (~65000).
5. Restart your RAS service.
