1202967 - Crystal report produces same output when exported to two different Excel formats

Symptom

When a Crystal report is exported to Microsoft Excel format, there are two options available

  • MS Excel 97-2000
  • MS Excel 97-2000 (Data only)

On one particular computer both export options produce the same Excel output instead of the expected different Excel formats.

Cause

This is due to the user's Windows profile that has been used to log on to the computer.

Resolution

To resolve this behavior perform the following steps:

  1. Back up and remove the user's existing profile.
  2. Create a new Windows profile for the user.
