1202983 - "Error updating Windows AD authentication properties" when attempting to add multiple Active Directory groups

Symptom

In BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2, when attempting to add multiple Active Directory (AD) groups to the Central Management Console (CMC) Authentication page in a single batch process, the following error message appears:

"Error updating Windows AD authentication properties: The secWinAD plugin failed to look up the account for the group "GROUPNAME1 ". Please enter non-local groups as DomainName\GroupName and local groups as \\ServerName\GroupName".

The group names were adding using the following syntax:

GROUPNAME1; GROUPNAME2; GROUPNAME3; GROUPNAME4

Note that "GROUPNAME1" is displayed as "GROUPNAME1 " in this error, indicating the space character was considered to be part of the name passed to the CMC.
