Symptom

In BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 running on Solaris using SunOne 8.1 as the application server, when attempting to log on to InfoView, the following error message appears:

"Account Information Not Recognized: The system af.configdir variable not specified, please contact administrator".
