1205034 - Error logging onto InfoView (Java) when using special characters in Active Directory passwords

Symptom

  • When logging onto InfoView with a Windows Active Directory password containing special characters the following error message is seen:
    "Account Information Not Recognized: Active Directory Authentication failed to log you on. Please contact your system administrator to make sure you are a member of a valid mapped group and try again."
  • Some examples of these special characters are;
    à, á, ä, æ, é, ë, è, ç, ì, í, ñ, ö, ø, ù, ú, ü. £
