You are attempting to install Crystal Reports when an error
message appears:
Windows XP or 2000:
"Installation ended prematurely because of an
error."
Windows Server 2003:
"This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your
system administrator."
Cause
The issue has been identified and tracked under ID
ADAPT00802449. The currently-logged-on user did not have
administrative rights.
Resolution
Ensure the currently-logged-on user has administrative
rights.
Additional Information
In Windows 2003 Server, all non-admin installs
are disabled so the error message displayed is from
Windows.
