1205596 - Error: "export failed (DMA0005)" or Desktop Intelligence report saved in Excel format does not open

Symptom

In BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2, a Desktop Intelligence report does not open after being saved in Excel format (.xls).

When exporting data from the data cube as Excel, an error message similar to the following appears:

"'Revision No.' is not a valid name. Make sure that it doesn't include characters or punctuation and that it is not too long.(3125) export failed(DMA0005)".
