1206221 - Receiving MS Office patch error

Symptom

  • Logon script runs to join the domain.
  • MS Office patch error - load MS06-062(Microsoft security bulletin).
  • Unable to load the patch as it involves PowerPoint 2000. Office 2003 is being used.
  • They are deleting the file \Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Mso9.dll as a work around.  This works and they have access to the domain.
  • Install errors occur when logging into BusinessObjects.
  • Program is deleted and re-installed. The Mso9.dll file is reinstalled.
  • Unable to log onto the domain.
