1206578 - How to redeploy XI Release 2 WAR files on Tomcat 5.0.27 running on a UNIX platform

Symptom

If you apply a Business Objects patch to XI Release 2 running on one of the following operating systems:

  • Solaris 8, 9 or 10
  • Red Hat Linux ES4 or AS4
  • SuSE Linux 9.0 ES
  • AIX 5.2 or 5.3
  • HP UX 11.11 or 11.23

but do not want to redeploy the WAR files, then the patch fixes will not take effect.
