1206587 - Error message " A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug?"

Symptom

You have installed Service Pack 2 and now you cannot run reports with Date parameters.

Every time you enter parameter values you receive the following error message:

"A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line: 79; Error: Object Expected."

Please note that this error is encountered with Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Service Pack 2

Cause

The installation of Crystal Reports standalone was not successful.

Resolution

This issue is related to the installation of the Service Pack 2.

You need to uninstall Crystal Reports as per the KnowledgeBase article c2017464 and install it as follows:

- Log in to the operating system as Administrator;
- Stop any Anti-virus programs and other spyware programs activated in background for other applications.
