1206609 - Error: "WIS00017" when attempting to view a list of values

Symptom

In BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2, a workflow similar to the following is performed:

  1. Open the Island Resorts Marketing universe.
  2. Edit the Properties of the object Resort/Country.
  3. Clear the Result option on the Advanced tab. Click the Condition option. Export the Universe.
  4. Log on to Desktop Intelligence. Create a new document using the Island Resorts Marketing Universe.
  5. Click the objects Resort/Resort and Measures/Revenue in Results.
  6. Place Resort/Country in the Condition. Click Equal to > Show list of values > US.
  7. Run the query. It is successful.
  8. Log on to InfoView. Create a new Web Intelligence document using the Island Resorts Marketing universe.
  9. Click Resort/Resort and Measures/Revenue in Results.
  10. Place Resort/Country in the Condition. Click Equal to > Value(s) from list.

The following error message appears:

"WIS00017".

Since the Resort/Country object is allowed in the condition, access to its list of values should be allowed. Also, the full-client tool always allowed this workflow.
