1206695 - Error: "[...]/bobje/setup/upgrade.sh[300]: slibclean: cannot execute" error on installing SP2 over XI Release 2 on AIX

Symptom

Installing Service Pack 2 to BusinessObjects XI Release 2 for AIX, you followed the steps outlined in knowledgebase article c2016544 (Installing Hot Fixes and Service Packs for UNIX or Linux platforms). However, when deploying SP2 on AIX the following error message appears:

"[...]/bobje/setup/upgrade.sh[300]: slibclean: cannot execute".

The slibclean script can only be executed by the root account. You tried running the slibclean script under the root account but it failed to resolve the error message.
