1206723 - Date field converted to 'MON/YYYY' format sorts alphabetically instead of chronologically

Symptom

In BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 using an Oracle database, a date object is represented in the following format: to_char(Date_field,'MON/YYYY'). When the properties of this object are displayed in Designer, the values are returned in the correct chronological order (for example, JAN/2007, FEB/2007, MAR/2007).

However, when a Desktop Intelligence or Web Intelligence document is created using this date object, the field is displayed in alphabetical order (for example, APR/2007, FEB/2007, JAN/2007).
