When exporting a report in a Visual Studio .NET application, all formats work as expected, with the exception of Crystal Reports format. Crystal Reports format has no data. Only the report design is exported. This behavior is the same if exported from the Crystal viewer, or using export code.
This behavior occurs because the "Discard Saved Data on Open" check box is selected.
Here are the steps to resolve this behavior:
In the Crystal Reports designer, click Options from the File menu.
In the Options dialog box, click the "Reporting" tab.
Clear the "Discard Saved Data on Open" check box.
Save the report.
Run your .NET application and export the report.
