1207086 - Error: "The BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 install directory 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\' is invalid"" when attempting an installation

Symptom

When attempting to install BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 Service Pack 2 on Windows Server 2003 (x64 Edition) Service Pack 2, the following error message appears:

"The BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 install directory 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Business Objects\' is invalid. The BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Release 2 install directory may contain only alphanumeric characters, spaces, dashes, and underscores".
