1207368 - Error: "An error has occurred: java.lang.NullPointerException" when logging into InfoView using WebSphere

Symptom

  • Getting an error when attempting to log on to InfoView using Active Directory authentication on IBM WebSphere application server
  • Error: "An error has occurred: java.lang.NullPointerException".
  • The authentication drop-down list appears empty
  • Users are able to log on to the Central Management Console (CMC) successfully with Active Directory authentication
  • Enterprise authentication is successful for InfoView and the CMC.
