How to create a Page Header for a Subreport in Crystal Reports?
Reproducing the Issue
- Crystal Reports XI Release 2
Cause
In Subreport, by default, Page Header is not available.
Resolution
To create a Page Header in Subreport, follow the steps:
1. In the Subreport, create a formula: @SamplePageHeader (name of formula)
WhileReadingRecords; "Pageheadername" (Page Header’s Name)
2. Go to the Insert menu.
3. Click Group.
4. Select the @SamplePageHeader formula from Common tab.
5. Check the 'Repeat Group Header on Each Page' from Options tab.
6. Click 'OK'.
7. If you insert a new group at the lowest, or innermost grouping level move this group to the highest, or outermost, grouping level.
8. Click Report menu
9. Select Group Expert.
10. Use the up arrow to move this newest group up to the top of the list.
When the report is previewed, the Subreport will now have Page Header per page.
