- What is a Report Template?
- In Crystal Reports, report templates allow you to apply a consistent format and style to your existing or new reports.
- You can create your own report template, or use pre-built report templates.
- How to apply a template to a new report?
- Create a new report using the Report Wizard.
- Select the applicable Data, Fields, Grouping, Record Selection and click 'Next' through the Report Creation Wizard dialog box.
- The last window of the Report Creation Wizard are the Templates.
- Select a template from 'Available Templates' or 'Browse' to an existing report.
- Click 'OK'.
- How to apply a template to a new report?
- In Crystal Reports, open an existing report.
- From the menu "Report", select "Template Expert"
- In the Template Expert dialog box, select a template from 'Available Templates' or 'Browse' to an existing report.
