1216188 - Error: "Communication error. No error details given" in Crystal Enterprise 8.5

Symptom

  • Exporting a report to Microsoft Excel format using the exporting DLL u2fxls.dll version 8.6.2.512.
  • The export does not complete.
  • The following error message appears: "Communication error. No error details given".

When using crxf_xls.dll to export to Excel, this error message appears immediately. All Hot Fixes are applied to CE 8.5 the report can be successfully scheduled.
