1218352 - Number "1" appended to table alias names disappears in Crystal Reports 10 and XI

Symptom

In Crystal Reports 10 and XI, if the number "1" was appended to a Table alias name in a previous version of CR then opened in CR 10 or XI, the "1" disappears.

Cause

This known issue has been assigned Track ID ADAPT00363507.

Resolution

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), the querybuilder.dll file's code has been changed to append "1" to table alias names if the driver does not support the same name being used for both table and alias, as is the case with the IBM Universe ODBC driver.

Known limitations: Note for Windows platforms only running Crystal version 10 products: this fix requires the component crdb_odbc.dll (version 10.0.5.755 or later) from the dbex10win_xx.zip hotfix and querybuilder.dll (version 10.0.5.628 or later) from common10win_xx.zip (where xx is the language suffix).

Unless indicated otherwise, Weekly Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
