1218531 - Error: "Invalid Argument Provided" when one of multiple tables is temporary

Symptom

When an application with multiple tables, where at least one of the tables is a temporary table, connects to these tables using the 'loginserverwithprivateinfo' property, one of the follwing error messages appears:

"Invalid Argument Provided"

-OR-

"QueryEngine Error: 'S1010....Function sequence error"

Cause

This known issue has been assigned Track ID ADAPT00351171.

Resolution

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), this problem is resolved.

The process of setting table location to a temporary table with LogonWithPrivateInfo has been modified to consider temporary databases. One select statement is generated, as though the tables were permanent. Previously, each table had its own temporary table.

Known limitations: The "Perform Query Asynchronously" property must be disabled in the report designer to use temporary tables and LogonWithPrivateInfo together.

Unless indicated otherwise, Weekly Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
