1218668 - Positive numbers appear as negatives when for report exported to Microsoft Excel from Crystal Reports

Symptom

  • Negative number, displays as positive number.
  • Number Sign is reversed, after exporting a report from Crystal Report to MS Excel format.
  • In Crystal Reports, when a number field in a report is formatted with the option 'Reverse Sign for Display', and the report is exported to MS Excel, the negative numbers in the database are changed to positive number in Crystal Reports, but then display as negative in the Excel spreadsheet.
