1218788 - Error: "Report Application Server failed" when drilling down on report in .NET

A Crystal report that contains no data is previewed in a .NET application. When an attempt is made to drill down on the report, the following error message appears:

"Report Application Server failed".

The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00437911.

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), the issue is resolved by adding extra group checking to prevent an error occurring on empty groups and thus deliver an empty data set.

Unless indicated otherwise, Weekly Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
