1218793 - Error: "Page cannot be displayed" when using view that contains a linked report

Symptom

The BusinessObjects Enterprise XI Integration Kit for Siebel uses the Apache Tomcat web server. After connecting to the Siebel Web Desktop, when attempting to use a View that contains a linked report, the following error message appears:

"Page cannot be displayed"

NOTE:

" This error message does not appear when using a View that does not contain a linked report.

" The Tomcat log file contains an error message similar to the following:

SEVERE: Error finishing response

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 4097

====================

Why does this error message appear and how do you resolve it?
