Symptom
In Crystal Reports 10 and XI, when veiwing a report in Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 4 and later, if the report has more than 30 style tags in the generated html code, some of the formatting is ignored.
Cause
This issue occurs because the some of the style tags are declared more than once for a style that is already active. This causes the number of style tags to exceed the IE limit of 30.
The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00434468.
Resolution
Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), this issue is resolved.
Known limitations: Microsoft Internet Explorer 4 or later sets the limit of style tags that can be present on one web page to 30. This hot fix does not address that limitation but it does cut down the number of repeated style tags which helps to keep the number of style tags below 30. Pages with extensive formatting may still not render correctly. The style tag limitation is documented on the Microsoft support site.
Unless indicated otherwise, Weekly Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
