1218938 - Text spacing is not consistent in the Crystal Reports 10 ActiveX viewer

In the Crystal Reports 10 ActiveX viewer, character spacing of text is not consistent with what appears in the designer. This issue occurs on computers with Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows NT 4 operating systems.

The issue has been identified and tracked under ID ADAPT00403409.

Hot Fixes or Service Packs address this issue as indicated below. With the update(s), this issue is resolved.

Additional Installation Instructions

1. Right-click the following registry sub key (or create it if it doesn't already exist, then right-click it):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Crystal Decisions\10.0\Components\ActiveXViewer

2. Click 'New' > 'DWORD Value', and name it "SimpleTextRendering".

3. Right-click the 'SimpleTextRendering' value, and click 'Modify'.

4. Change the value to '1' and click 'OK'.

Unless indicated otherwise, Weekly Hot Fix updates from the FTP site have only been tested with English versions of our products.
